Over me

My name is Pierre Meißner and i am from Berlin. As of the time of my childhood I am interested in computers. Also my father influenced this. He was also intrested in technology. This was one of the sources for my passion.
I am deep interested into this topic. It is my intrest to understand anything about. I try to lern something from books or to pay attention when someone is explaining something about. Irrelevant if on TV or YouTube. With my intrest and knowledge I earn attention from others. Also from colleagues or in diverse internships. Moreover i did like to share my experience with others, means to explain others my knowledge on thier levels. Or I helped somebody who knows me or of my famaly at th computer, advise them or just build new systems. On the software side I am deeper intrested in Operating Systems, which is the reason for extra sites for the topic.
Later software development becomes also a intrest for me from books or from education.
To view this partition of my intrests, I decide to design this page to this. This causes the two partitioning of the page.

As also declared, my father had an impact on my intrests. Not only for my intrests in technology. This is the source of my intrest in electronic music like Kraftwerk or Depeche Mode. By myself I later get intrested in (the music project) Schiller.
Further my father works at a local railway company. In th passt I were often on a journey on railways. Of corse for the yearly familiy hollidays. As I see much places (irrelevant if go there or drive through), I got my intrest for traveling and other counties. As couse of the affinity for railways, I also like traveling with it nowadays.
On a trevel to a City I came to to the idea that I want to go and life there. From Berlin to Vienna.

Administration of Computer Systems

Due to the passion for the computer, I get the idea that this interests me for job. I made some internships in stores, which sells Computers or parts for custumers. Mainly I done this already in private and had every time liked to support others. But the collected experience was that I do not want to stay in this job. My work was only to default routines where I had other ideas, which no one cared.
In my private time I tryed some other administrative stuff. I setup a Raspberry Pi to host a ownCloud, setup a VPN access and build more automation. My home grows to a small network, that is compareble to small companies networks. This was reason that I choose to do this as my job. I started to do a internship at a computer retailer, where I later worked parallel to my studyies. This give me the chance to work on diffrent systems. I maintained two companies with diffrent size. I had to think about many diffrent ideas. In this time I lerned a lot of administration.

Operating Systems and I

There are much operating systems that concurrent. That understand I a since a long time. As much computer user in the world I grew up with Windows. But all time I were not only intrested in using it, rather to have more knowledge. I read articles of computer magazins, that show something like "If you set there this, you can get this benefit". These things I must try out. A time ago I tried to unterstand the functioning of the system. Further I got intrested in the history of the system. The virtualization allows me to test some older Windows versions.
At the time of smartphones I want to get one and choose one on base of Android. Of corse I had like go deeper into the settings of it.
Also at this time I know Linux. And vitualizing helps me to test it also. Firstly I found it no easy and see it more as a recovery system, if Windows is not working, but I forwarded the testing and get more relied to it. I lerned more about Linux on my job education or with the work with the Raspberry Pi and get more relied. Tody I work often with Linux and I know some more about the administration of productive systems.
Of the won experience in the Linux space I tried out some other Unix systems. So I tried BeOS and the of it forked system Haiku OS or the Austrian SkyOS.
My last experience were the Operating Systems from Apple. As a former Windows user I started with the normal suspiciousness to it. But I get surprised, what "professional" usage I can do with it (less if Apple does not give a manual for it).

Software Development

The intrest in software development came accidentally. In the circuit around my home is a libary. I delve among books about the topic computer.Then I found a book that offered the software development in VB.NET . I read through some sites and thought that I can understand it and want to try it out at my computer. I tryed it and had success. So I developed some VB.NET Apps.
I experimented with development in the C Family. But this was not easy, so I stay at VB.

Later at my job education I had the programming in C++. This was a better experience to a C language. Programming in C(++) was now ok for me. Parallel I lerned something about PHP and Databases. But I stay at VB. Opon this I only programmed applications for Windows. I never like to be bond to the .NET Framework, which was at this time only available for Windows.

In my study I firstly lerned the "classic" C. I had no problems with it and now it got my favorite. In the course about databases I lerned Python, which is a important part on an other site here. Further I go to the course that was about App Development for iOS. This means, I lerned something about Swift. Also developing desktop applications in C++ was a par with extra knowledge about technics in software development, or introduce us into the Qt Framework.
I have lerned many programming languages. I like it to lern new programming languages. As one part of my studies I lerned kernel API based programming on the Linux kernel for e.g network applications. This is a sphere, which is my favorite. Also I like Qt, because I lost be bond to the system as with .NET and I can develop in C++.
